Brittany Wilson

Brittany Wilson is a graduate of Richard Daley College with a A.A.S. in Early Childhood Education Development and also has her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science from National-Louis University. She is in her 6th year as a professional Educator. She has worked at Anderson Elementary, Ray Elementary, James Ward Elementary, Chicago Charter School Network, and various childcare centers and park districts with a focus in Special Education. Throughout her teaching career she has learned to teach the whole child, which helps to promote longevity with their social and emotional skills needed to be successful in development. Working with children of diverse backgrounds and skill levels she has learned the importance that every child is unique and has tailored educational plans to meet their specific needs and desires. Brittany describes herself as vivacious, full-of-life, humorous, warm-hearted character. She enjoys the social life, reading, spending time with family, traveling, and other spontaneous endeavors. She looks forward to being a continued partner with parents and staff in order to provide students with experiences that challenge, reward, and build confidence that fuels them as lifelong learners.

Do you have any secret skills or hidden talents that most people don't know about?

I'm an event coordinator. During my spare time I have planned weddings and parties, community events.

Ms. Laurnes, because she motivated me to go to the next level in my education.
