Grant Gorman

7th & 8th Grade Science Teacher

I was born in Madison, WI and now proudly reside on the South Side of Chicago. While I have been teaching for a decade, I have also worked on a coffee farm in Guatemala, drove dump trucks and buses across the USA, crisscrossed the Iberian peninsula, and found that people and relationships are what make the world a beautiful place.

What is your favorite place in the world and why?

My home is my favorite place because it represents my hard work and it is where my family is.

Where would you most like to travel to and why?

I want to visit Machu Picchu because I have never been to South America and I am fascinated by the ingenuity of the indigenous people of the Americas.

I most admire my partner, Betty Gorman. She is a selfless and dedicated professional. She deeply cares for those around her and frequently sacrifices her wants for the needs and wants of others.

What is a mantra you strive to live by?

"I must enter into all that I do with a spirit of love" - San Miguel Febres Cordero

I feel my very best when...

I have exercised, contributed to life's daily tasks at home, and shared a laugh with others.
