What is your favorite place in the world and why?
My favorite place is my family’s cottage in South Haven, Michigan. The subdivision is made up of about 70 cottages and most of the cottages are my extended family and others are family friends. I also try to spend time in SoHa (South Haven) as much as possible.
Who do you admire most and why?
I admire my grandmother. My grandmother is a retired Special Education Teacher, but still loves to substitute teach. She is my role model and always has the answers to everything. She has so much energy, a strong drive/work ethic and values family. Her dedication to everything she does to admirable. She can always turn a frown upside down.
Do you have any secret skills or hidden talents that most people don't know about?
I danced for 10 years and was a part of a tap company in which I traveled around Illinois to perform. I even performed on the stage at Great America!
What has been your greatest adventure?
My greatest adventure was studying abroad in London. I lived in Central London for 5 months and when I lived there, I traveled throughout England as well as traveling to Amsterdam, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, and Italy.
My favorite thing about working at Namaste Charter School is...
Being able to coach Running Mates and Track & Field. While teaching inside the classroom is what I enjoy doing everyday, it is also rewarding to see students participate in an after-school activity. Our students at Namaste have great talent!
