Kindergarten Monolingual Teacher-Aid

Donna Barzola is a native Chicagoan, who grew up in Pilsen. She graduated from the University of Illinois (UIC) with her Bachelor's in Liberal Arts. She worked as a case manager in the non-for-profit sector for about 18 years and obtained her Masters from National Louis University during this that time.

This will be Donna's second year at Namaste Charter School as a Teacher Assistant in the Yellow Room. She has enjoyed her time working with Ms. Maia and the Yellow Room students.

What is your favorite place in the world and why?

Hawaii, because it is so peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful!

Where would you most like to travel to and why?

Anywhere in South America.

What is a mantra you strive to live by?

Be grateful for all that you have.

I feel my very best when...

When I am rested after a good nights sleep.

What has been your greatest adventure?

Traveling to France.

Who was your favorite teacher and why?

Mr. Elis, because he made learning French so much fun!
