Namaste’s teaching staff is a diverse group of professionals. All classroom teachers are certified by the State of Illinois and are committed to continuing their own professional development. Thirteen teachers have chosen to pursue master’s degrees in the education field, and several others are currently enrolled in master’s degree programs. Four teachers have the high honor of National Board Certification. More than 2/3 of the Dual Language teachers have completed or are currently enrolled in Dual University, a nationally recognized program for dual language programs.

In addition to higher education, each of Namaste’s staff members sets a professional goal at the beginning of the year and works to achieve that goal. As part of the development process teachers participate in a variety of conferences and workshops throughout the year and during the summer. In addition, Namaste has early dismissal Fridays so that teachers can work with colleagues and engage in school wide professional development. 

Outside of the classroom, Namaste’s teachers excel in various areas. Many staff members are dedicated partners and parents. Staff members live the mission of a healthy lifestyle by working out, practicing yoga, and learning how to prepare healthy foods. Namaste’s staff loves to travel and truly lives its multicultural pillar during school vacations.
